The Doulas

Ashley Spellman

In the summer of 2015, I trained in Paris to be a birth and postpartum Doula. The same summer, I was able to receive my Certificate for Lactation Counseling (CLC) from The Center for Breastfeeding. In my training I was able to support cesarean births, natural hospital births, unmedicated and medicated births, and a home birth with the German midwifes. These experiences have been priceless for me in my Doula career.

Delivered LLC was started in the fall of 2016. I feel so fortunate to do work that I am passionate about. Supporting a mother while she is bringing life into this world is nothing short of outstanding. How this process happens can be defining for the mother and the child and it is my honor and privilege to support these families.

I am a wife to an Air Force Pilot and  mom to one spunky little boy. More about Ashley...

I decided to become a doula after attending an International Childbirth Education Association Doula Workshop in Doha, Qatar. I was certified through both ICEA and DONA in 2008. Throughout my certification process, I attended DONA and ICEA birth doula workshops, a 20 hour Lactation Management course, two ICEA Conventions and countless other trainings in labor and breastfeeding support.

I am mom to three boys; Liam, Caleb and Isaac.  My boys were born in a birth pool in the comfort of our own home.  Their births were empowering and life changing events that helped me gain a better understanding of the miracle of childbirth.

Jackie Prescott

I started birth work before I even knew what it was, supporting several friends during the birth of their children. Once all my little ones were in school full time I took the opportunity to pursue birth work as a full-time profession.

I am a Birth, Postpartum Doula as well as Childbirth Educator, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) Our Baby Class Instructor, Belly binding specialist, and Placeta encapsulator.  A nurturer at heart starting as a teen working with disabled children, and later as an emergency medical technician providing emergency services.

As a mother, I know that each birth and every child brings new adjustments. I encourage parents to trust their instinct and make their own informed decisions. We all need a village of support as we find our way during pregnancy and parenthood. The many tips and tricks offered by an experienced go-to person will help you adapt to your new role.

I consider myself truly lucky to be able to do what I love and love what I do.  Helping families build strong bonds as a birth worker and supporting couples as they become a family. Providing comfort and confidence as each day brings new challenges. I help ease the transition to parenthood and your new normal.
